User Agreements to be a Tester

This system has created over 100+ quilts for testers, but we have spent the past 6 months making changes to the algorithm to get further details into the quilts, so I wanted to fully test this before it goes live to the public.

Please don’t rush to create your pixel quilt!! I know it is exciting to see your design come to life on a screen but try to be objective – does it look as good as it can? Should I try a filter to get rid of red/green/grey in the face?

I have recorded 2 videos on getting the best out of the software which you can see here before you design your quilt, watch them and take some time to pick 5-6 images that you think will look good!

Remember image choice is key – if you use an image with harsh shadows or that is too light in places, it will not result in a good quilt. The pattern you make will only ever be as good as the image you put in – so make it a good one.

BEFORE YOU PAY FOR THE PATTERN!! Check the number of pixels the quilt will have (it will be in the quilt stats section of the page) If this is your first pixel quilt, I highly advise you shoot for under 2,500 pixels. Anything more can feel overwhelming. The only time I would negate this, is if you are making a quilt of a person, animal or object that you absolutely adore – its the love that will get you through the process!

Believe me, if you are trying to make a 3,000 piece pixel quilt of a flower you snapped on your phone or an abstract piece, there is a high probability you will run out of steam before finishing it.

Have a read of the rules below, you will need to be in agreement with all of these terms before using the website and any deviation from these, will mean removal from testing.

By creating your quilt with Pixel Quilts, you agree to:

    1. Purchase the pattern at a discount of $20
    2. Use images that you own or have permission to use.
    3. Not to share the pattern.
    4. You agree that you understand that this website is in its 3rd testing phase and it and its outputs may still contain errors.
    5. You agree to only purchase a pattern when you are happy with your pixelated image as errors cannot be corrected and you will need to re-design it in the case of errors.
    6. You agree not to speak or communicate about this website to any third party or competitor.
    7. The patterns are for personal use only and not sold in any form
