Adele

Adele is an artist that I have followed since her very first album back in 2008. Her powerful voice and emotional lyrics always had an impact on me. And she is the only artist that I would actively await a new album from.

When we sat down at the beginning of 2022 and watched ‘An audience with Adele’ I sat, completely engrossed, sniffling my way through it. I remember saying to Jason ‘I’m not sure if I could ever actually see her live, because I think I would just sit there and cry.’

Fast forward to the end of this Summer and the news that she was about to release tickets to see her in Vegas in Nov/Dec and I honestly daren’t even hope that we may be able to snag any (we had tried early on in the year but failed spectacularly!) Hubby and I both registered for tickets and were given timeslots in which to log on and attempt to buy them. His timeslot was first.

I went ahead and carried on sewing upstairs. I had tried so hard to secure tickets the last time that I didn’t let myself hope that we may be able to get them. The timeslot came and went and I readied myself to have to try again during my timeslot, everso slightly sulking that we had failed AGAIN!! and now it was all down to me.

When I got a text message from Jay downstairs:

“We need to look at flights to Vegas..”

“INSERT BIG SCREAM HERE”

He’d only gone and managed to book us the bloody tickets and save me from the anxiety of trying to do it on our last try!!

So 28th November will see us, in the audience at Caesars Palace seeing Adele live, a concert that has been on my bucket list for years.

It seemed only natural that I create a quilt of her for October. Will I attempt to get it to her?? – yes! Has the whole Post Malone saga almost put me off?? – yes!! But I know that I do have to try.

So wish me luck!
